Effective Presentation Skills

Presentation is a method to present any information to the audience and it needs "something to present" and "skills to present". Only an extraordinary presentation can present the information effectively. After watch the video presentation of steve jobs from Apple, i admit that he is a cool presenter and we should learn from this guy.

So today, i will tell you the skills of steve jobs presenting his product and this skills will make your presentation amazing.

1. Theme
The first thing that you must tell the the audience is the theme of your presentation. In example, steve jobs say something like this: "Today, Apple is going to reinvent the phone". We can see that he give his audience a reason to listen and that will attract the audience to focus on what he say.

2. Outline
Then, you must provide the outline of your presentation. This is what steve says in one of his presentation."I got 4 things i like to talk about with you today, So, lets get started!"

3. Open and Close the Element with a Clear Transition
Make the audience feel easy to follow your story with verbally open and close the element of your presentation. In example: "A perfect companion of leopard, that is the first thing i want to show you this morning".

4. Wow Your Audience
Wow! your audience and passionate about thing you want to talk with using words like:Amazing! Cool! Incredible! Unbelievevable!

5. Sell an Experience
It means you have to make numbers or statistics meaningful. In example, steve says: "we sold 4 millions iPhone to date. If devide 4 Millions by 200 date, that means 20 thousands phones everyday on average"

6. Make it Visual
What steve put in his presentation. Usually he just a little words but with big size and maybe 1 to 3 image per slide.

7. Give the Audience a Show!!
In example, steve put a thin Apple laptop inside a envelope. Then he open it at the stage. People does not expect that there are a laptop inside that envelope. This new Apple laptop is WoW!.

8. Rehearse Many Times
Show the audience the product, demo it!

9. Add "And one more thing" before end.
This is what you need to add at the end of your topic. Just add a new feature or product. This will give the audience an added bonus to use the product.

I hope this steps will help the reader to enhance the skill in presentation. Before i end this post, just want to tell you that you can Google "Garr Reynolds" for skills in presentation. This guy is a communication expert and the creator of "Presentation Zen". Thank you.
